I went to get my car serviced and when they did the diagnostic on the car they came back with a total of $1900 I asked them can they get the price down and still do what was need to be done they came back with a price of $1785.
Then asked him if I had the services done would my car be good he said its should be fine. I came to Midas because of my dissatisfaction with the small auto repair company I went to before the guy behind the desk to me he understood and would take care of me.
So again I asked him if I got the service done would o be good because I did not have $1785 to blow he said again I would be fine at Midas.
So it took a few days to get my car back and within a few days I kept hearing a ticking sound then within a couple of weeks the car was overheating worse than it was before which was the main reason I brought the car in.
When I came in I was naturally very unhappy and while I was not happy I was not rude but the front desk guy JD was trying to BS me and when I told him I dont have time for this he got attitude and told me I can win him over with kindness not anger which I thought was very much out of line and the said he does not have to listen to me and would just call the police and ask me to leave for no reason at but because he did not want to hear my complaints.
I told him my mother is at home sick and I cant be hear going through a lot of none since he told me his mother is not well so I guess me all have problems. Again I feel
Like that was out of line and Im sure not the way you want your customers handled when they are doing business with you and especially after they have already spent their money with you.
I am very upset and would someone to fixed my car as it is down again 1 month after having it serviced.
I am sure you know I would not have spent that amount of money on a car the would still breakdown when they could have just told me their was nothing they could do to help me and not take advantage of me as a customer.
I would appreciate someone from the corporate office to contact me I have no desire to deal with your facility in Southfield, Mi on telegraph road so please do not have anyone from their call me.

The manager of the store, Marc Dondero refused to do a NYS inspection on my vehicle. First his reason was that he didn't have enough time.
I arrived at 4:37pm on a Tuesday and they close at 6pm. I had scheduled an appt online the week before for 4:30. He told me it takes an hour to do. Yet refused to do it.
He told me that "online appointments don't count" and that I should have called the store. Then when he found out that I had a Groupon, he made fun of me and sent me away bc he said they only do service for "existing customers". He and his co-workers laughed at me and made fun of me bc of my request. He discriminated against me bc I didn't pay full price.
He did not try to work with me in any way and was by far the most unprofessional "Manager" that I've ever experienced.
I waited in the parking lot to see at what time they'd actually close up and he and his co-workers left the building at approximately 5:45, 15 minutes before the store was due to close.
He obviously had something more important to do than to try to fit me in.
The customer that was before me wanted to buy two new tires and have car serviced but he walked out bc this same manager refused to do a wheel alignment, stating there was no time.
I called the "Customer Service" line and they told me they were actually a "customer feedback" line and she could do nothing for me but to request that I be called within 3 days by a superior. Today is Saturday and I've not heard anything back from anyone.
There were no customers waiting on their cars when I arrived.

User's recommendation: According to the "Manager", online appointments are not valid. You must call on the phone. Also, appointment times don't matter bc they will refuse to do the work whether you have on or not even though the service is offered at that time.

I went to Midas with trust that they would take care of my vehicle by installing another transmission but instead they installed the transmission it took them two weeks to get it done and there was also Shady work that was done to it there are dents in my car scratches on the side and when the vehicle was supposedly been ready the manager of Midas called me came and pick me up show me back to the shop to get my vehicle and I paid him $1,395 lo and behold before I even got into the car I realized that it did not have a wheel alignment then I realized it's my motor was tripping actually it wasn't the motor it was a transmission dripping transmission fluid so I crawled underneath of it and then there was some other things that was missing and both being lost and not replaced so I called the gentleman back and told him about a situation that very next day can you believe he told me that he will give me a wheel alignment free when it was also paid for when I had the transmission install the guy beat me out of a lot of money and I don't have much money and I have a lot of kids I'm a married man I don't have time for being play it out of the money. So right now I'm a very unsatisfied customer what I have to do is take my car to a Honda dealership so they can diagnostic my beautiful replace everything and tell me how much money I will be out of and then I'm going to put a lawsuit out on Midas unless they reimburse me my money. The undergarments underneath the hood of my vehicle has screws missing there's a screw or either a boat that's missing from my transmission to my transmission is still leaking transmission fluid I'm not sure if they put a new gasket on there I just know that I took my vehicle to him for transmission installment and there's more problems wrong with my car than what it should have been so now I have to pay someone else to do extra work and I feel like my days old me some money back this happened at Carbondale Illinois the guy that runs the Midas shop his name is Terry

To complain about an overcharge on 2 simple tasks- to install my supports to an hood and rear taillights , I was charged & 172.00
User's recommendation: Get a second opinion
Overcharge for simple and easy tasks, $ 174.00 for installing rear taillight bulbs and affixing my supports to a car hood.

I have been going to Midas for quite a few replacements for my 98 Ford Ranger. I had shocks replaced all the way around, also replaced all the components of the front end.
Within 24 of having the front end replaced, the frame broke where the lower control arm attaches to the frame. When I took the truck back for them to fix, they advised me to go to Rust Repair Inc. I ended up having to pay for that repair as well. Because of this, they should have advised me that the repairs being done would not hold because of the condition of the truck when they got underneath it.
This is a company that is supposed to be working in the customer's best interest. Therefore, the repairs should have never been done, which is why this is unethical.
I had all this work done only to find out after the fact that the whole bottom of the truck was rotted out, and they knew the part wouldn't hold, and they replaced them anyway instead of doing the right thing and advising me of the condition of the truck.

Deceptive business practices
I am so pissed off with the way i was treated in the Everett wash store let me clarify what happened .i was tasked with getting estimates for my mother in laws repair on her 90 ish geo metro exhaust sys.So remembering the name Midas from my younger days i called the everett wash store . spoke with a man named joe verry pleasnt on the phone and set up an inspection for for a quote for the repairs.
latter that day i realized the time wouldnt work because i had to go to the dump so i called back and changed the time for a latter time stot so alls good untell i show up at the store to find out that there is a 40 dollar charge for the inspection. At no time was there any mention of a charge for the quote. I had to drive one hour none way to find out this news then i was told they would wave the charge if i had them do the work .
why wasnt i told about the fee before i drove all the way looks to me like typical bait and switch . i will advize every onme to stay away.
