Survey
The manager of the center spoke to me. He had a excuse for everything I Documented in the survey.
Stated a $50.00 deduction will be applied to my next service. Why can't the amount be deducted when receiving my midas credit card bill. What make the manager think IAM going to return! A customer for 30 years.
No outstanding debt with the company. My problem was not resolved to my satisfaction.
Submitted a survey, and I am following up about it. On this date I spoke to a representative who said the district manager will get in touch with me.
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Allow the customer to see what need to be repaired before agreement for repair service.
Car repair
My car was taken to my neighborhood Midas for a routine oil change. A while later I was smelling something that smelled like something was melting.
I later found out oil was leaking and burning that was the smell I was smelling. I went to Midas, and they said it was leaking from the oil filter that when the guy there had done my oil change he must have messed it up. They had fired that person because he was messing up other customers cars. The manager there agreed to fix the problem free of charge, but before he could get it done, he was fired.
So the new manager had to get with his district manager to see what he was going to do. The DM agreed to fix it and then my car was returned to me, but not without it now leaking antifreeze, smoking, and with no heat. I took it back and they said they would have to get back with the DM again because I did not have a problem with any of that before they got ahold of it. Antifreeze was pouring out of it not just dripping.
Anyhow, they closed down the neighborhood Midas for whatever reasons, and I had to take it to the Huntsville Midas. At this point I had been without my car going on a month. The Huntsville Midas on University drive fixed it and so far, so good. I picked it up yesterday and drove it to work today.
I smell a little antifreeze, but I am hoping it's just the remaining residue burning off. The DM allowed them to repair it at no charge. I was without my car for over a month but glad this was reconciled. I am very happy with the outcome!
Great attitude, very kind, and courteous along with professionalism! Furthermore, I would recommend this Midas and congratulate them for a job well done!
User's recommendation: Until they get the mess in Decatur, AL straightened out don't use it, but definetely use the Huntsville Midas on University drive.

Verified Reviewer |Brake fluid in my engine
I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars! My virtually brand new Buick Envision went in for an oil change.
A little over a week later, it stopped working. The issue discovered was brake fluid in the engine. An analysis was run of the fluid by my insurance company. This error ruined my engine, and I was informed I need a new engine.
My vehicle was serviced there last, and not a soul had done any maintenance on it after them. Called Midas, and I will say the people who work in the store were nice.
The regional manager, Adam West, was rude and condescending. Do not bring your car there unless you have money to blow on a new engine!
- Poor work
Preferred solution: The money to replace my engine
User's recommendation: Avoid at all costs

Verified ReviewerLet the people of port orchard know what their local Midas is doing after business hours and during business hours
I am a previous employee for the Port Orchard Midas. I think it's fair to let the community know how Midas really operates.
First, there are two owners: one owner, the male, sells drugs, *** and fentanyl; the other owner, who is a female, is married. Every time she comes down here, she has an affair with the other owner. So, on May 2, the male owner called me and told me he lost his box of drugs at work and asked me to find them. They already have so much pressure on me, so I just said, 'OK, let me look.' I went around and found them inside the owner's car that was inside the shop.
They asked me to make sure everything's there. I did. Shortly after, I overdosed at work. Coworkers performed CPR, broke my chest, and bruised my lungs.
While I'm away in the hospital fighting for my life because they have me sedated, the owner, instead of coming over to the hospital, goes as quick as he can to the shop to pick up his drugs so he can hide them. He had no care in the world about how I’m doing; he just wanted to make sure he gets his drugs out of the shop so he doesn't get in trouble. Later on, he reaches out to me. I told him I ain't messing around with him anymore.
I'm going to tell the other owner that he was selling drugs. While I’m in the hospital trying to recover, these guys are doing shady stuff. Tools of mine came up missing. Five to six days later, I get released from the hospital.
For both owners to try to sweep everything under the rug, they fired me, hoping that they wouldn't have to deal with this, and it has been working. They swept it under the rug, trying to stay hush-hush, but I’m better now, and I want everyone out here in Port Orchard, Washington, to be aware of the Midas off of Mile Hill. They do shady business. The owner sells drugs and has no regard for employee safety.
Repeat, do not take your business there. There are a lot of different shops out here in Washington that I would recommend other than Midas.
Preferred solution: The public to know about Midas in Port Orchard

Homophobia is real! Midas case 434****
401 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90813
Bad treatment by homophobic Luis, store manager
I am never going here again. So, I work nights, and I have a corporate F150 work truck. About a month ago, I had a tire replaced with little fuss. I told them I wanted a name brand tire like Toyo, Michelin, or Cooper. What do they do? They put on a cheap Chinese Sailun tire that I did not request. Then, yesterday I had a tire pop; I put on the spare myself. It did not help that they put 51 psi in each of my old tires when 36 is the spec. So I drive up after the authorization company called at 1 that I am arriving. I get there at 2, dead tired from the night shift before. They tell me they do not have a tire in stock and that I will have to wait till tomorrow. Today I get out at 3 pm with no call or text. I go to the shop, and the tire is ready. No call or text. I had already arranged to go to Cooper, who had the tire in stock, assuming they were not ready. Then I get there, and I tell them to take their tire off; I am going somewhere else he refused. I told him that my time is valuable and I am doing this on my day off. He did not care.
- Was supposed to be fast service
- Cheap non name brand tires
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Go to Goodyear, Cooper or reputable place

I've been having my family cars inspected at this location for years. After a managerial change, it has been a nightmare.
Every year they try to push overpriced repairs. This year when they couldn't find anything wrong, they lied and said I was being failed inspection for bad windshield wipers. But when I showed them the packaging for new wipers in the trunk, they gave me my sticker. Liars!
On a second car, they failed it and tried to say I needed $3,000 worth of repairs.
I took it to my regular mechanic, and he said half the repairs they recommended weren't needed or necessary for inspection. Never again!
User's recommendation: DO NOT GO TO MIDAS!! LIARS AND SCAMMERS!

My ex-husband paid 1500 for our daughter's car to be fixed. Two months later, she needed to have more work done, and they told her the underneath of her car was rusted out.
So if that's true, why take the 1500 in the first place? They had her car in the air while they were fixing it and never mentioned it.
Paid 1500 to get it fixed, and they expect me to believe that in 2 months the underneath of her car rusted out? Horrible, horrible company!
User's recommendation: Don't go to Midas they are rip offs!! They will take your money and lie to get it!!!!
