I went it for an oil change on my 2008 Jeep Liberty to the Market Street Midas in Boardman, Ohio (a 25+ year patron). Before checking out I asked the manager (Jason) if my tires were rotated-he walked out in the garage, came back in and said yes.

I asked if air was put in tires and he said (and the papers say) tire pressure was put at 35. I paid and left. Before pulling in my driveway (~8 miles from Midas) I looked at my tire pressure, 1 tire was at 28, 2 were at 30, and 1 was at 31. I immediately called and spoke to Jason.

He told me to call back and he was going to check with the tech. When I phoned back he said the tech said my sensor was bad and he did put air in the tires. I didn't buy that and then asked if the tires were even rotated. Once again I was told to call back because he was going to view the camera.

I called back and Jason said that the camera showed the tires being rotated. I said I would come in tomorrow to view the tape myself. Jason said he had to check with his District Manager and for me to call back. I waited 10-20 min and called back.

Jason said "I am viewing the video right now" then proceeded to say "that was the Subaru correct" I said "NO it was the Jeep Liberty-let me guess the tires weren't rotated" he said "I apologize but they were not and if you come back I will make sure your tires are rotated, balanced, and air is put in tires at no cost". I agreed to go back tomorrow and we hung up. That's not it.....I started thinking and phoned Jason back and said "since everything is on camera, I want to see my oil and filter being changed". He said he witnessed the oil change himself.

I said "well you also told me before I left the tires were rotated and clearly they were not so since everything is on tape I want to view it myself because frankly I don't trust you". Jason said he had to contact his District Manager again to get permission and to call him back. He called me back a few minutes later and said "my District Manager is on vacation and won't be back until next Monday", I said "Oh, the one you spoke to earlier?" I told Jason to never mind that I was online and was going to contact the corporate offices unless when I came back tomorrow they would do the air pressure, rotate and balance my tires, change my oil and filter all while I was watching. Jason agreed so I am going in tomorrow.

In the meantime I phoned customer service at the corporate level and explained all of this. What a joke.. I take VERY good care of my vehicles and sold my 1998 jeep last year with ~225,000 miles and the guy is still driving it. I bought this jeep new and it only has 39,000 miles.

After thinking about everything, I now want a refund because my time is worth something and my gas to correct a problem that should have been done correctly the first time. They may be able to get over on other females but this taught me a good lesson. Before tomorrow, I will crawl under my jeep and mark the oil filter and then ask for it back -what a shame I have to go to this measure. I will always watch the process in the future (which I usually do) and will always ask questions.

I really feel sorry for those consumers that are at the mercy of these people and trusting them with their expertise. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

What ever happened to taking pride in your work and being an honest human being??? I am soooo disgusted.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Midas Cons: Store manager lying to me multiple times, Paying for a service and not receiving any.
