Midas in Webster Texas Sucks!!!

The technicians in this midas are either absolutly incompetent or on something. They have destroyed my Honda,s cooling system by adding windsheild washing liquid instead of antifreeze, costing me over $1000 in repair, the car still has problem due to permenant damage in the system. They have also damaged my car's break system. I believe they should be investigated for where they get their certification, if they claim to have one. I wish I had checked the review sites before taking my car there. Now I have realized the whole midas system is corupt and need to be exposed.

I am an employee at Midas in Webster Texas and I completely agree that they suck the person who did your work was most likely Jesse Blackburn him and the manager Ed *** over and *** *** up like no other place in the world never trust those two it's a good place to go to get an oil change by the lube tech there or the other two technicians and they will fix your vehicle great because they actually know how to do it please send someone out here to investigate because most of the *** there doesn't work if someone who can do something about all the *** happening there is reading this please do something immediately because we need new management and a new technician.

Midas in San Diego, California - Installed wrong size of tires

Midas in Dublin, CA installed a set of 4 tires for my Acura TL. One of the got ripped off on Freeway. I went back to Midas and realized the size was wrong. It supposed to be 225/45R17 instead of 235/45R17. They admitted they installed the wrong size of tires but refused to replace with the correct size of tires. The distict manager only offer for free re-install with new tires from them. Their reason was they installed more than year and half. He said I should return it within 30 days warranty period. I complaint to Better Business Burrau (BBB). However, there has no result. Any suggestion how to complaint? Small Claim Court? Please give an advise. Thanks!

My wife went to the Midas in Medina after hearing a noise coming from one of her front right tires. They diagnosed it as a stuck slider (which engages the brake pads on the rotor). They told her they needed to replace ALL 4 rotors and pads. She, unkowingly, agreed...

This location is the worse. I wrote couple of bad reviews on their Facebook page but they they always delete them.

They lied to me as well recently and when I confronted the manger he became angry. I will never go to Midas in Medina Ohio again.

LOVE MIDAS

I recently had took my 1997 jeep grand cherokee to Mike at Midas because of a problem i have had for 3 months. I have taken this to three previous shops and have had multiple items changed and still have the same intermittent stall. He took a look at the car personally and informed me tha the previous repairs were just a waste of money and had it been properly looked at the first time it would have saved me precious time and money. I have since had no problems at all with my truck and have told many friends and family members about this particular midas and how friendly and professional they are.

it is more about justice,..

I post this experience here, to give undecided potential "customers",..a WARNING

Midas,..get some books or even better, go back to a job training,..obviously,..you guys never had one.

Doing your training on paying customers like me,..is not ok. First get experience and than charge money for your work,..

Midas is HEINOUS.

I went to get a brake job done. Told $150 on phone. Got there and of course there's more problems, new total is $320 (have to replace rotors, can't machine them down, bull *** bull *** *** I agree. 45 minutes later I have to get a new caliper (they broke it while changing brakes). Now its $530 dollars (180 bucks for a new caliper). I google caliper and see its only $70. I ask if this is too expensive, am told no. I tell them I do not even have the money in my bank. I have to pay it or it can't be fixed and I can't leave. I forward money to bank account. 3.5 hours later and $450 more than I was expecting to pay I leave. 4 days later the caliper they installed wrong leaked all my brake fluid out. I almost wrecked. I can't imagine what could have happened to me or my daughters, or if my girlfriend had been driving (not that women aren't good drivers but she would not have known how to handle a car with no brakes). So after making me wait 3 hours longer than I should have, charged me over 400 bucks more than I should of, they put my personal life and property in danger and every single person on the road that I was around that day after I left work. The other customers while I was there all had something else wrong with their car they 'had to get fixed' (lady getting an oil change needed an alignment, lady getting oil change needed timing belt replaced, etc, anything they can say to charge more). After I told the guy I didn't have enough money initially to pay for it and had to borrow money just to pay them I tried to use a coupon i printed off their website and was told they couldn't take it. One of the worst experiences of my life. After I had caliper replaced by another mechanic (for 60 bucks) I told them I wanted my money back on my old caliper. They said they are in the retail business, not the wholesale business and that's why I was overcharged. So their mentality is exactly this: CHARGE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN TO EVERY CUSTOMER REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCE. That's how they make money. No customer service, no customer care, their gaurantee is a lie and a farce. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Drive these creeps out of business.

Hey Van Gogh why would you even wish that on anyone? From reading your posts it seems like you should get out of the house more.

Sitting home for 4 weeks waiting for money. You hope this guy crashes into a midas employee? That's just sad to even say that.

Grow up. Maybe this is why your midas issue is unresolved.

:x are they ever doing their job GOOD?

my God,... :x

if your brakes stop working the next time,..

I hope that one of them is right in front of your vehicle,..and not somebody innocent

They gave you an estimate over the phone not an exact price. No one can quote an exact price without seeing the car.

The caliper issue should have been noticed during their initial brake inspection when they determined your rotors were no good. If they actually broke it they should have either gave you the part or at least at their cost for the part. But this is the difference between good shops and bad shops and good mechanics and bad ones. A lot of Midas' problems stem from how corporate puts too much pressure on the shops and the rates they have to pay corporate to have a shop.

13% or more of every job goes right to corporate. And that money comes from the customer. That's why prices are so high. The warranty is to keep people coming back so while you are there for your warranty there is always other stuff to find.

Read the warranty carefully.

There is a book in the waiting area explaining the warranties before you buy. If not then the shop is not following the guidelines properly.

I went to the Midas on Windmill Parkway in Henderson, NV tonight after work for an oil change. Of course, they told me how I needed to change my brake fluid for $89. All seemed well and I began my drive 20 miles to my home. About 1/2 way there, smoke started pouring...

MIDAS ( las cruces ) still OWE`s me money

Midas promise was: returning my money,...83,90 USD,..as posted 02/29/2012 Link: http://midas.pissedconsumer.com/midas-as-first-time-customer-never-again-20120225299995.html waiting since 02/29 for it. I`ve sent your my banking informations. You also have my address so you can send a money order or a check. Is this your Midas-Promise or do I have to go further steps (?), just let me know. Not really interested in "forgetting about the case" since I had to invest further money already for parts which got damaged at your shop.(belts) Just curious. Regards

The funniest thing about gullible people is that when I wrote my original comment you just assumed I worked for midas which I don't. I just asked you a simple question and you turned it all around.

No wonder they don't even want to bother with you. what a ***

MIDAS (LAS CRUCES )- RIPP OFF

I`m sorry for confusion in first posting, so I decided to share my information with all of you,..CLEARLY..: To make it easier, here what I sent to Midas. Location: MIDAS // LAS CRUCES, New Mexico Hello, I went to the location to request replacement of a Belt-Tensioner. Since I had very little squeaking coming from the serpentine belt. The Belt was brand-new installed the day before. First point, it costs me 86,90 USD which is overpriced (there is a single bolt to remove!!!) second point is the fact, that the mechanic sprayed a fluid on the belt before he did the testrun. The belt squeaked horrible, even worse than it did before the repairjob, CAUSED BY THE SPRAY which the mechanic used. Following to this situation came the SECOND BAD thing, the wrong DIAGNOSE from a mechanic. I received on my receipt the information: CUSTOMER WAS ADVICED TO REPLACE ALTERNATOR, which is totally WRONG,..I replaced instead the Belt again (which I can proof!) and my van ran fine again, without any noise from belt area. That`s an imposition, first destroying my new belt, than the overpriced bill and on top a wrong ADVICE. Hopefully you stay to your offer which is saying "reward". Regards XXXXXX XXXXX If there are any doubts, I can proof receipts of the repairjob, the new belt afterwards and I can show you my vehicle running fine without REPLACING the ALTERNATOR. This repairjob was the worst I`ve ever been at. Also the most expensive one. And guess what, I did NOT get my compensation!!! And before the nice Employees of this "shop" writing their *** comments to this,..here the explaining: 1.They charged me 78 USD/hour + Tax ----83,90 USD for a real time repair of 20 minutes 2. They destroyed my new Belt with their Oil spray 3. They asked here in the forum, why I didnt replace the tensioner myself (!),.. // I was tired of working on this van,..ok??? I was convinient, that is why your STORE EXISTS !!!! 4. Here my proof...of their OVERPRICED BILL ,..the RECEIPT: http://tinypic.com/r/aaahlj/5 (right click, open in new window) this site offers the zoom function too. 5. NEVER GO TO THEIR STORE, SO THEY WILL LEARN THE LESSON, AND THEIR JOB !!!!!!!(hopefully)

You supplied the belt. They did not sell you the belt.

This tells me that you came to them asking to have the belt replaced.

You did not ask them to diagnose or repair a noise. I think this is your fault.
