Terrible what they did to my niece, welded the catalytic converter on for $1,250.00, KNOWING FULL WELL the 02 sensor had to be put on. Even if she didn't buy the 02 sensors, WHO would suggest welding
The Midas shop at 7419 Stoney Island, WELDED the catalytic converter to my niece's car w/o the wiring and 02sensors! Even if she didn't want to pay $600 skyrocketing *** pricess for an 02 sensor that I had previously had put on for $38-$42, who would suggest WELDING to a 27yr year old female.
KNOWING tge next mechanic wouldn't want to deal with it. The 02 sensors can't be put on because the damn this is now WELDED TO THE CAR! WHO DOES THAT. These folks came recommend by my cousin who was happy with then.
I NEVER would have gone to Midas. NOW DOUBLE WILL HAVE TO BE PAID (IF) I WANT TO DRIVE THIS CAR. I was selling it to my niece after getting the converter... WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.
WHO WOUKD SUGGEST WELDING KNOWING FULL WELL TGE WIRING AND SENSORS ARE NEEDED!
THEY GOT OVER LIKE THE RATS! IM BEYOND PISSED

I had shocks and struts put on for $1400 and my vehicles is still squeaking. I paid for my motor mounts and they left one off and it hadn’t been corrected.

As of 11/17/22There has been broken promises from corporate and no resolution. On 10/04/22 I spoke with Quinntel Smith a supervisor for TCB corporation, which I'm going to assume is Midas parent company, I explained the situation, Mr.
Smith called the store, informed me I was due a refund, sent me my original invoice which I never received from the store, sent and email expressing empathy and a willingness to help, requested my address, informed me how much I was due back, and then....crickets.
I have not heard from anyone since. When I try calling the number I get the ultimate run around its ridiculous

Misdiagnosed repair
Came to with rattle on passenger side mechanic test drove it no interraction with me didn't show me nothing later Manager gave me estimate ask then would solve problem oh yes tried to lower quote said only 30 dollars coupon ok took break waited for parts had one box work a little did another car finally finished 4 hour wait paid left rattle still there 550 for nothing called back said bring it back did day this time he drove said problem fixed I said what the first noise fixed I said there only one sound and that is the original rattle. Point to strut engine mount said he call me with estimates never did one mechanic said its brake pins 20 part saw video he's right midas should take responsibility 35 year customer not right

I went to get my oil changed. And was very disappointed with the services. I was very upset when I was told my oil was still uncleaned. Paid full service price.
